Georgia's red clay soil expands when wet and shrinks when dry. That movement cracks foundations and opens gaps in the building envelope. IR picks up the moisture pathways along those cracks before interior finishes show any sign of a problem.

Hot summers and cold-enough winters mean Georgia buildings go through real thermal cycling. That expansion and contraction opens wall envelope gaps at sealant joints, window perimeters, and curtain wall connections.
